It all started in his hometown of South Florida during a audition for a local sketch comedy show. As the nephew of 1970s Billboard-topping legends Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose ("Too Late to Turn Back Now"), Bert grew up immersed in musical royalty. Though he naturally possessed the vocal and musical chops to follow in his family's iconic footsteps, his heart pulled him toward a different spotlight.
When asked why he pivoted from music to comedy, Bert keeps it simple:
"Sometimes you must take a chance and do what you love, and what I love is making people laugh."
